In the international standards, HFC Fire Fighting System is a system with clean agent. HFC227 Fighting System adopts HFC227 gas as the agent; its code in NFPA2001 is HFC227ea. HFC227 has no colour, no scent, and no corrosion; does not conduct electricity. The ODP for HFC227 is 0.
HFC227 agent is the substitute of Halon. The principle to put out the fire is that: HFC227 will decompose when the temperature is high to help putting out the fire. The principle is a complicated one, mainly as chemical reaction, with cooling effect. At the same time, the concentration of oxygen will be decreased to certain degree.
There are three ways to activate the HFC227 system: automatic activation, manual activation and emergency activation. Fire detectors send signals to control panel; control panel starts the solenoid valve of Nitrogen pilot cylinder; the HFC227 cylinder valve will be activated and agent will be discharged.
